For Victoria Karo, leadership was never just about the view from the top; it was about the story told along the way. A seasoned marketing executive who navigated high-stakes environments for global brands, Victoria’s career was once defined by classic, driven ambition. She thrived on growth and the relentless pursuit of professional milestones until a series of international relocations across four countries in seven years invited her to cross a different kind of threshold.
Today, as a Leadership and Reinvention Coach, Victoria helps high-performing professionals in their 30s and 40s bridge the gap between external achievements and internal calling. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that the most powerful transitions occur when individuals stop trying to prove themselves and start allowing themselves to simply be themselves.
The Professional Ascent
Victoria’s professional journey is grounded in a high-level background in communication and digital marketing. She quickly rose into global leadership roles at Exact and Van de Velde, where she served as a Global Product Owner and Global Digital Marketing Manager. Managing digital strategies across 110 countries and collaborating with top-tier firms like McKinsey, Victoria was the embodiment of the high-achieving corporate leader. Throughout this period, her identity was inextricably linked to her professional progress—a common anchor for many top-tier executives.
The turning point came with relocations to Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Russia, and the Netherlands. Transitioning from a global leader to a full-time parent, Victoria faced a confronting pause that revealed a vital truth: ambition doesn’t disappear when a job title does; it simply requires a new form of expression. She began mentoring expatriate women through identity shifts, transforming her “career break” into an intensive phase of personal research. This journey led her to study Jungian psychology and earn certifications in Disruptive Strategy and Women’s Leadership from the University of Oxford.
Aligning Inner Clarity with Action
Victoria’s approach is a sophisticated blend of practical ICF-based coaching, Jungian psychology, and creative methodology designed to bypass the “inner critic” and access true intuition. This integration is designed to move leaders beyond superficial shifts toward sustainable, internal alignment. Regarding the impact of this work, Victoria shares:
“My clients don’t just discover things; their actions become more authentic, and therefore decisive and sustainable. It saves energy, and ultimately, leaders stop acting from pressure or expectation, they start hearing themselves. And that shift changes how they experience being themselves and the leadership itself.”
By focusing on these deeper reflective and creative methodologies, Victoria helps her clients build long-term internal stability, ensuring they solve current challenges while preparing for the next level of personal and professional leadership.
A Vision for the Next Generation of Leaders
Victoria is dedicated to redefining ambition as something personal rather than externally prescribed. In her own words, she shares her vision for the future of leadership:
What impact do you hope your work will have on how professionals in their 30s and 40s approach leadership, ambition, and purposeful change?
“I hope to contribute to the redefinition of ambition as something deeply personal rather than externally prescribed. Many professionals in their 30s and 40s reach a point where outward success no longer answers inward questions. They start asking not only ‘What can I achieve?’ but ‘What actually matters to me and how does this fit into the life I want to live?’
One of my intentions is to help normalize periods of reflection as a sign of maturity, not uncertainty. Ultimately, I hope my work empowers professionals to lead with self-trust. When individuals understand themselves deeply, they make smart decisions, navigate change with greater confidence, and create impact that is both meaningful and sustainable.”
To achieve this, Victoria believes leaders must first confront their own narratives and the “masks” they wear in professional life:
“When people reconnect with their own story, they stop hiding behind their social mask of being a balanced person, of being satisfied. Sometimes that means shaping a more authentic path within an organization. Sometimes it means changing direction altogether. You don’t need to start your own business to be authentic, but you do need to be more than the role society assigns you.”
