Being a military spouse gave me the lens.”

Her trajectory reached a pinnacle in her work within the Office of Military Family Readiness Policy. Here, she moved beyond the administrative, acting as a lead analyst on initiatives that support the Total Force. She famously advocates for a shift in how the system views military spouses, moving away from merely “preparing” them for jobs and toward ensuring consistent access and follow-through from the hiring managers themselves.

“Leadership is not defined by position, but by connection and clarity,” Elizabeth reflects. This philosophy was tested when she faced her own greatest challenge: a battle with breast cancer. Survival stripped away the professional noise, leaving her with an acute awareness of what people carry beneath the surface.
