Who is Who
Pegah Hazrati is a results-driven leader in supply chain and manufacturing, serving as Regional Vice President at Primo Brands. Known for her servant leadership, empathy, and strategic insight, she excels at transforming teams, fostering purpose-driven work, and balancing execution with humanity — all while inspiring those around her.
From Shy Beginnings to Purposeful Leadership
When people meet Pegah Hazrati today, they see a confident, purposeful leader whose presence commands respect. Yet the woman who walks with conviction and leads with empathy was once a timid, introspective child.
“When people see the confident woman I am today — someone who walks with purpose and speaks with conviction — they might never imagine the shy girl I once was,” she reflects.
Her father, a man of unwavering principles, was her first mentor. He taught her early to think beyond herself:
“He believed that character mattered more than comfort, and integrity was the foundation of true leadership.”
On one birthday, he gifted her Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl, a book that would quietly shape her life and career.
“The idea that purpose gives meaning to even the most difficult circumstances became the compass that guided both my personal and professional journey,” Pegah says.
These early lessons instilled in her the belief that leadership is not about power or position — it is about service, purpose, and helping others discover meaning.
Strategy, Empathy, and Balance
Pegah’s approach to leadership blends strategic acumen with human empathy. “Balance — between strategy, execution, and empathy — is something I’m constantly striving for,” she explains. She surrounds herself with leaders whose strengths complement her own, ensuring decisions are grounded, consistent, and aligned with purpose.
“Together, we create balance. I rely on these trusted voices to ensure decisions are aligned with our mission.”
Empathy is at the heart of every decision. Pegah’s team knows that “leadership isn’t only about getting to the goal — it’s about how we get there, and who we become along the way.” For her, the moral compass of leadership lies in character and care, particularly when navigating complex business challenges.
Transforming Challenges into Growth
Pegah believes true leadership starts with humility. She recalls an early career moment with a young engineer who often expressed frustration toward her. While others might have seen defiance, Pegah saw a need for guidance. She met him one-on-one and began simply:
“I heard you’re not happy.”
Through listening and dialogue, she discovered his concerns and invited collaboration:
“What do you expect from me as your leader?”
The experience transformed their relationship, turning skepticism into engagement and loyalty. “True leadership starts when we stop asking ‘What’s wrong with them?’ and start asking, ‘What can I do differently to help them succeed?’” Pegah explains. This moment reflects her servant-leadership philosophy, where honesty, kindness, and accountability coexist.
Leading With Excellence
Pegah’s professional journey spans over 15 years at Procter & Gamble and beyond, culminating in her current role as Regional Vice President at Primo Brands. She oversees operations, supply chain, and large-scale transformation initiatives, consistently bridging innovation with execution.
Her career highlights include leading multimillion-dollar capital projects, managing end-to-end supply chains, and driving operational excellence across multiple sites. Yet what stands out is her human-centered approach. Pegah ensures that organizational transformation never comes at the expense of people:
“Every decision we make should strengthen a synchronized system while treating the people around us with respect and dignity — even in difficult moments.”
Colleagues have noted her unique ability to combine professional excellence with a human touch. Erika Purcell, a Fractional CMO who worked with Pegah, shares:
“Everyone loves to work with Pegah! She gets the work done and manages to keep the rest of her team on task, all while keeping a smile on her face. She is usually the smartest person at the table, but she’s always humble and helpful and never condescending.”
Reflection, Creativity, and Connection
Outside of work, Pegah channels her energy into writing, painting, and dancing. Writing has been her lifelong outlet, inspired by her father: “Writing has always been my way of understanding life — a quiet space where I can organize my thoughts, untangle my emotions, and search for meaning.” Over the years, she has filled more than sixty-five notebooks with reflections and short poems, many of which she hopes to share in the future.
Painting, drawing, and dancing allow her to reconnect with herself and approach leadership with renewed creativity and presence. She notes, “There’s something profoundly freeing about trusting the rhythm of the music and allowing yourself to move without thinking — it’s one of the purest forms of joy and surrender.”
Building Leaders for Tomorrow
Pegah credits much of her success to the exceptional leaders she has encountered, but her father remains her greatest mentor. From him, she learned that integrity, empathy, and service form the foundation of meaningful leadership. His principle of the “circle of care” — the idea that responsibility extends beyond oneself — continues to guide her.
She believes true legacy is not measured by titles or accolades, but by the leaders you develop: “Identify who can replace you early on, invest in them, and help them grow. The greatest success isn’t how high you rise — it’s how well you prepare others to lead after you.”
Leading With Empathy: A Guiding Principle
For Pegah, leadership is a holistic journey. It is not about controlling outcomes, but creating environments where people feel valued, empowered, and inspired. “Our role as leaders is to create meaning for others, to see beyond the immediate, and to help people discover the strength and purpose that already live within them.”
Her career, personal reflections, and mentorship experiences illustrate a consistent truth: the most effective leaders combine intelligence with heart, strategy with empathy, and vision with action. Pegah Hazrati embodies this principle, demonstrating that empathy in action is not just a philosophy — it is a way to transform teams, organizations, and the world around her.
