Helping leaders discover their superpower by leveraging AI and automation to transform high-pressure businesses into sustainable, "boring" success stories
Andre Ankri does not believe in limits; he believes in systems. As a founder, speaker, and executive, he has spent his career dismantling the traditional barriers of business and neurodiversity to reveal the “superpowers” hidden beneath. His story is not one of linear success, but of a man who moved to Canada with nothing but a phone interview and a three-day window, eventually building a security integration powerhouse and an AI consultancy that empowers leaders to think differently. For Ankri, leadership is not about having all the answers—it is about the courage to tear things down and the wisdom to build them back stronger.
Discipline without Compromise
Growing up in Israel as the eldest of four brothers, Ankri’s operating system was installed early by parents who balanced raw ambition with relentless discipline. His mother taught him that even the moon was not a limit, while his father, an entrepreneur, modeled the grit required to show up every day without excuses. This perspective was further solidified by his younger brother, who defied medical expectations and permanent labels to exceed every barrier placed before him. “Watching him exceed every expectation others placed on him changed how I think about limits permanently”.
Ankri’s own path was shaped by a trio of diagnoses: ADHD, dyslexia, and OCPD. Rather than viewing these as deficits, he treated his education in architecture as a laboratory for his mind. Though he completed the program but skipped the final administrative step of the diploma—a moment he calls a perfect example of ADHD in real life—the design thinking, spatial awareness, and ability to see how systems fit together became the blueprint for his future ventures.
From Combat to Construction
Ankri’s professional journey began long before he entered a boardroom. From washing cars and cutting grass at age ten to serving in a technical engineering unit in the military, he learned that progress is earned through motion. His time in the army and fifteen years in karate instilled a deep understanding of the mission. “Alone, we are a drop. Together, we are an ocean”.
At 23, he took the ultimate leap, landing in Canada three days after a phone call for a locksmith job. He had limited English and no safety net, but he had the ability to build his own doors. That grit evolved into UTS Group Inc., a security integration firm that has since become a North American leader in consultation and design-first security solutions. However, the growth was not without pain. Ankri describes himself as a “wartime CEO,” best suited for the chaos of restructuring and cultural resets. He led UTS through a grueling transformation—rebuilding the company around lean principles and AI automation—only to realize that his greatest challenge was learning when his style fits and when to build the next generation of leadership.
Empowering the Neurodivergent Leader
Today, Ankri’s impact is felt through Metador, a consultancy dedicated to helping leaders—particularly those who are neurodivergent—leverage AI and automation as structural supports for their unique minds. He rejects the idea that ADHD or dyslexia are limitations; instead, he teaches executives to build systems that match how their brains actually work. “Your ADHD brain isn’t broken. It just needs a different operating system”.
This mission is deeply personal. Ankri’s daughter, Abigail, recently celebrated her own ADHD diagnosis, telling him, “Abba, I’m part of the ADHD club! I have the same superpower you have. I’m a Supergirl”. It was a moment Ankri considers his greatest achievement, signaling that his message of vulnerability as strength had truly landed. Similarly, a candid conversation with his son, Edden, forced Ankri to re-evaluate his priorities, leading to a shift in how he balances his “first priority”—his family—with the businesses he leads.
The Beauty of a Boring Business
Ankri continues to push the boundaries of what is possible by integrating human judgment with intelligent systems. His goal is to move his companies from the “exciting” instability of growth to the “boring” stability of a mature enterprise. By building the next generation of leadership and embracing AI-powered security marketplaces, he is ensuring his legacy is one of sustainability, not just activity. He remains a vocal advocate on LinkedIn, sharing the raw, unpolished truth of leadership to inspire those still “in the storm”.
“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door”. Andre Ankri is still building, proving that when you understand your wiring, the limits the world sets for you simply cease to exist.
Editorial Note
Andre Ankri’s journey is a masterclass in turning perceived weaknesses into structural advantages. His transition from a “wartime CEO” to a leader who empowers his team highlights the importance of self-awareness in the modern executive suite. As you reflect on your own leadership path, consider: Are you fighting your wiring, or are you building a system that allows your “superpowers” to thrive?
